Þetta lag er nú bara klassík. Mig langar alltaf að dansa á loftinu þegar ég heyri það.

» Dancing On The Ceiling - Lionel Richie «

Man what in the world is happening down
At the end of the hall?
I don't have a clue?
Let's check this thing out!

What is happening here
Something's going on that's not quite clear
Somebody turn on the lights
We're gonna have a party
It's starting tonight

Chorus:
Oh, what a feeling
When we're dancing on the ceiling
Oh, what a feeling
When we're dancing on the ceiling

The room is hot and that's good
Some of my friends came by from the neighborhood
The people startin' a climb the walls
Ooh it looks like everybody is having a ball

Chorus:
Oh, what a feeling
When we're dancing on the ceiling
Oh, what a feeling
When we're dancing on the ceiling
Oh, what a feeling
When we're dancing on the ceiling
Oh, what a feeling
When we're dancing on the ceiling

Come on!

Everybody start to lose control
When the music is right
If you see somebody hangin' around
Don't get uptight
The only thing we want to do tonight
Is go 'round and 'round
And turn upside down
Come on! Let's get down!

So come on! Let's get loose
Don't hold back
'Cause ain't no use
Hard to keep your feet on the ground
'Cause when we like to party
We only want to get down

Chorus:
Oh, what a feeling
When we're dancing on the ceiling
Oh, what a feeling
When we're dancing on the ceiling
Oh, what a feeling
When we're dancing on the ceiling
Oh, what a feeling
When we're dancing on the ceiling

(Scream, whistles) Say what?
Can't stop now
Just getting started
Everybody clap your hands
Come on
Everybody let's dance

Chorus:
(Oh, oh, oh, oh)
Oh, what a feeling
When we're dancing on the ceiling
Oh, what a feeling
When we're dancing on the ceiling
Oh, what a feeling
When we're dancing on the ceiling
Baby, baby
We gonna dance all night
Till the broad daylight
Keep on movin', keep on groovin'
Oh yeah
Oh, what a feeling
When we're dancing on the ceiling
(Begin fade)
Oh, what a feeling
When we're dancing on the ceiling...

Sjís.. song of the week er orðið depressing eftir ég ákvað að fara the country way. Ég gefst upp. Þetta lag var feykivinsælt á þeim tíma sem Hollywood geyspaði endanlega golunni. Mikið var það sorglegt annars.

» We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off - Jermaine Stewart «

Not a word, from your lips
You just took for granted that I want to skinny dip.
A quick hit, that's your game.
But I'm not a piece of meat, still you like my brain.
Night is young, so are we.
Let's get to know each other better, slow & easily.
Take my hand, let's hit the floor.
Shake our bodies to the music.
Maybe then you'll score.

Chorus: So come on baby, won't you show some class
Why you want to move so fast.
We don't have to take our clothes off
To have a good time
Oh no
We could dance & party all night
And drink some cherry wine
Uh huh
We don't have to take our clothes off
To have a good time
Oh no
We could dance & party all night (all night)
And drink some cherry wine
Uh huh
Na na na na na na na............

Just slow down if you want me
A man wants to be approached cool & romantically
I've got needs
Just like you
If the conversation's good
Vibrations through & through

So come on baby, won't you show some class
Why you want to move so fast
We don't have to take outr clothes off
To have a good time
Oh no
We could dance & party all night (all night)
And drink some cherry wine
Uh huh
Na na na na na na.........

Repeat until fade.............

» Coward of the county - Kenny Rogers «

Everyone considered him the coward of the county --
He'd never stood one single time to prove the county wrong.
His mama named him Tommy, but folks just called him yellow,
Something always told me they were reading Tommy wrong.

He was only ten years old when his daddy died in prison;
I looked after Tommy, 'cause he was my brother's son.
I still recall the final words my brother said to Tommy,
"Son my life is over, but yours has just begun".

"Promise me, son, not to do the things I've done --
Walk away from trouble if you can.
It won't mean you're weak if you turn the other cheek
I hope you're old enough to understand,
Son, you don't have to fight to be a man."

There's someone for everyone, and Tommy's love was Becky.
In her arms he didn't have to prove he was a man.
One day while he was working, the Gatlin boys came calling --
They took turns at Becky, (n'there was three of them).

Tommy opened up the door, and saw Becky crying.
The torn dress, the shattered look was more than he could stand.
He reached above the fireplace, and took down his daddy's picture.
As his tears fell on his daddy's face, he heard these words again:

"Promise me, son, not to do the things I've done --
Walk away from trouble if you can.
It won't mean you're weak if you turn the other cheek
I hope you're old enough to understand,
Son, you don't have to fight to be a man."

The Gatlin boys just laughed at him when he walked into the barroom;
One of them got up and met him half way cross the floor.
When Tommy turned around they said, "Hey look! old yeller's leaving,"
But you could've heard a pin drop when Tommy stopped and locked the door.

Twenty years of crawling were bottled up inside him.
He wasn't holding nothing back -- he let 'em have it all.
When Tommy left the bar room, not a Gatlin boy was standing.
He said, "This one's for Becky, as he watched the last one fall. (n’ I
heard him say,)

"I promised you, Dad, not to do the things you've done
I walk away from trouble when I can
Now please don't think I'm weak, I didn't turn the other cheek,
And papa, I shure hope you understand --
Sometimes you gotta fight when you're a man".

Everyone considered him the coward of the county.

Ég er búin að leita að country lagi sem inniheldur ekki bitran texta um brosnar vonir. Það er ERFITT. Þetta lag ofspilaði ég þegar ég var að spila Zeldu, gyllta leikinn. Var búin að fá ógeð á tónlistinni í leiknum og hlustaði á plötu sem pabbi hafði í láni hjá ömmu á þeim tíma með Randy Travis. Mér finnst þetta lag einfaldlega frábært. Svona letilegt lag. Ferlega gott að spila tölvuleiki við það. Verst að það var ekki hægt að setja á repeat á plötuspilaranum svo ég var alltaf að standa upp...

» Have A Nice Rest Of Your Life - Randy Travis «

There's not a mean bone in my body
I never could be unkind
And I know we're not talking
But there's something on my mind
It ain't rightteous indignation
I don't plan to rant or rave
No need for us to fight and fuss
I just want to say

Have a nice rest of your life without me
I'll be proud to be a part of your history
If it makes you happy honey
Keep talking bad about me
And have a nice rest of your life without me

I know you're not heartless
Not callous and you're not cruel
And I know you don't mean to
When you treat me like a fool
I beleive that your good nature
Will emerge with someone else
If I can't be beside you
I can be beside myself.

Have a nice rest of your life without me
I'll be proud to be a part of your history
If it makes you happy honey
Keep talking bad about me
And have a nice rest of your life without me
without me

Don't forget your pocketbook honey
oh and your toothbrush..
don't forget your toothbrush dear...

have a nice rest of your life
have a nice rest of your life
have a nice rest of your life
