I am imaginative, creative, honest and reliable. I am also resourceful, proactive and independent. I am able to manage a work team and/or work alone. I have a very high customer/end user focus and I value consistency.

I was born in Iceland in 1971 and have lived there most of my life - apart from 1986 where I spent one year in the US as an exchange student. I moved from Iceland to Denmark in 2010 and plan to spend the rest of my life in Denmark.

I live with Jesper Hjortshøj in Højbjerg, Århus and together we have four children aged between 11 and 19.

2008 - 2011 Online Marketing Manager / Web Manager at Marel
- I merged six diffent websites, that belonged to various companies Marel had bought, into one.
- I manage Marel's external webs on a day to day basis.
- I restructured www.marel.com when Townsend Further Processing and Stork Poultry Processing had to be integrated into the Marel website.
- I developed and managed the production of an "Offline catalog" for iPad as a sales tool for Marel's sales network, providing them with an opportunity to present our products and marketing material electronically without an Internet connection.
- I am in the process of implementing a content strategy on www.marel.com
- I have a successful partnership with a web developing company Dacoda.

2006 - 2007 Specialist - Marketing / IT and Web solutions at Glitnir bank (now Íslandsbanki)
- I managed their websites and Intranet.
- I marketed products and services both online and offline.
- glitnir.is won best corporate website for 2007, at the Icelandic web awards - SVEF, a period I was managing the website.
- A section of glitnir.is was shown as a good example at a conference in 2007 (the presentation in pdf) by a third party where the focus was on the web as a marketing tool. The section displayed in the presentation was the first product page of the many I produced for the bank.

2004 - 2006 Owner of a web development company
- I developed and produced websites for individuals and small companies.

2000 - 2006 Marketing manager at ISNIC, the .is domain registrar
- I started as an Office manager in 2000 but took over the responsibilities from the Marketing manager in 2001.

2009 www.marel.com was nominated along with five other webs as the best corporate website in 2008 at the Icelandic web awards - SVEF.

2008 www.glitnir.is won best corporate website 2007 at the Icelandic web awards - SVEF.

2007 www.anna.is was nominated, along with five other websites, as the best individual website 2006 at the Icelandic web awards - SVEF.

2010 - I was a member of the selection committee for the best Icelandic websites at the Icelandic web awards - SVEF.

2010 - I renounced the domain stjornlagathing.is to the Icelandic government to be used for the Constitution parliament.

2009 - I registered the domain lydveldisbyltingin.is (TheDemocracyRevolution.is), launched it with a blank wiki system and handed it to the general public in Iceland as a social experiment to see if a nation can create a constitution through crowd sourcing. I took active part in the work involving hundreds of Icelanders across the world which gave truly amazing results. I also registered the domain stjornlagathing.is (ConstitutionParliament.is) in the hope that it would be used later by the Icelandic government for a Constitution parliament.

2006 - I wrote and directed a viral web project "World Domination Corporation" with the Icelandic company Brimborg and Saga Film.

2006 - 2008 - I was the chairman of Félagið Auður, whose goal is to strengthen the network of women entrepreneurs in Iceland.

2004 - I participated in the radio program "Contemporary storytellers"

2001 - I opened www.anna.is and have been running that as a blog ever since

Proficient in HTML, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), use Dreamweaver and Fireworks and have used numerous Content management systems (CMS) and can familiarise myself with a new one quickly.
